Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) is a premier national Institute in the country dedicated to research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Allied Sciences & Technology, with its field stations in different locations.
The Institute offers training in the Library, which includes the hands on training in the state-of-the-art library techniques and services. Applications are invited from fresh post graduates who are highly motivated to pursue their career for the following position:
Name of the position: LIBRARY TRAINEE
No. of Position: Two
Qualification: Post-graduate in Library & Information Science (M. Lib. Sc.) with basic degree in Science (preferable). Students who have appeared for final exam and awaiting results may also apply.
Additional Qualification: Basic Knowledge of computer and working knowledge of any library software and open source software. It is also desirable that the individuals are familiar with the preservation and conservation procedure of the library materials.
Age limit: Below 25 years
Emoluments: Rs.20000/- per month (inclusive of all) in the 1st year and Rs.21000/- per month (inclusive of all) in the 2nd year.
Place of posting: Bangalore
