Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, invites online applications from the eligible interest candidates for selection and appointment in the cadre of Assistant Professors in various subjects in the faculties of Agriculture (186 vacancies including 6 Library Science), Agricultural Engineering and Technology (22 vacancies) and Home Science (16 vacancies). Candidates should possess prescribed qualifications as on the date of notification. Library Science: OC-2, OC(W)-1, SC(W)-1, BC(A)(W)-1

A Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with atleast 55% marks (or any equivalent grade in a point scale whenever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of Library. NOTE: Qualifying in the National Level Test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.

 2. The candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009 shall be exempted from NET subject to the following conditions that: (However the marks for Ph.D. shall not be given) a) Ph.D. Degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only b) Evaluation of Ph.D. thesis by atleast two external examiners c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted d) Candidate has published two research papers from his / her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be referral journal e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conference / seminars based on his / her Ph.D. work f) (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor / Pro Vice-Chancellor / Dean (Academic Affairs) / Dean (University Instructions)

3. For Physically and Visually challenged persons 5% relaxation of marks is allowed at the Master’s level
