ABOUT THE WORKSHOP AND ITS OBJECTIVES

 This workshop focuses on Content Management System called Drupal. Drupal is an open source content management system (also known as CMS, WCM or Web Content Management!) makes it easy to create, manage, and publish your digital content to any device, at any time. It’s built, used, and supported by an active and diverse community around the world.

 

 The objectives of the workshop

• To provide background knowledge on Content Management Systems (CMS)
  

• To teach CMS and its applications in Libraries
  

• To teach Drupal Installation and Configuration
  

• To provide hands on experience for development of Drupal based Library website.

BENEFITS OF ATTENDING THE WORKSHOP

Participants will learn about the Drupal Architecture and Key functions & Terminologies, Installation and Basic Configuration, Themes and Modules for Library Services and Roles & Backup.

Library & Information Science Professionals, Students and Research Scholars.

 REGISTRATION FEES

LIS Professionals Rs.300/- (Both National & International)

LIS Students & Scholars (Full-Time) Rs.200/-

Kindly confirm participation by sending a mail to bjeyapragash@gmail.com on or before February 18, 2017 and Registration fee can be paid by Demand Draft in favour of “Organizing Secretary, Drupal Workshop, payable at Trichy. Registration fee includes Workshop Kit, High Tea and Lunch. The workshop maximum participants will be only 40 so the Registration will be on first come first served basis. Please confirm your participation at the earliest. No TA/DA will be paid to the participants. Accommodation for the outstation participants will be arranged at the University Guest House or Nearby hotels on additional payment.
