The Institute invites applications for the position of Library Trainee(s)-03 on purely temporary basis for period of 01 year, which may extended upto three years, subject to satisfactory performance.


The selected candidate will gets hands-on experience in different library activities such as Acquisition, Circulation, Reference, Inter Library Loan, managing electronic and online resources, information services etc. and will also get an exposure to work in fully computerized library and with IT tools. The Library may remain open till late hours, hence selected trainees will be required to work in shifts on rotation basis.

*Stipend:*

Subject to satisfactory performance, the amount of stipend shall be as below:

First Year: Rs.11, 000/- per month

Second Year: Rs.12, 000/- per month

Third Year: Rs.13, 000/- per month


*Essential Qualifications and Experiences:*


Students who have Post graduate in Library Information Science (M. Lib & Sc.) with “Regular Course” with First Class may kindly apply. Students who have appeared for final exam and awaiting results may also apply but must produce the final marks sheet at the time of interview, in proof of having passed the examination with First Class.

Candidates must have basic knowledge of computer and preferably working knowledge of any library software/open source software and should be IT applications savvy.

Candidates who have served the position of Library trainee at other institutes should not apply.

Candidates may note that the above positions are purely temporary and do not lead to the permanent of the absorption of the candidate in the Institute. The Candidate will not be treated on par with regular employee
of the Institute and shall have no right to claim implicit or explicit for their absorption or regularization.
