Opening of Library Internees positions at the Central Library, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi)


The IIT Delhi is looking for young, enthusiastic, dynamic and fresh graduates/postgraduates with minimum First Class in Masters in Library and Information Science/Bachelors in Library and Information Science/Two years Diploma in Library Science to work as 'Library Internee' for its Central Library.

Stipend: Rs.13,000/Rs.11,000/Rs.8,000/-per month (Consolidated)

Period of Internship:Purely on temporary basis initially for Six months, on the basis of performance it may be further extended up to One year.

Age Limit: 26 years (as on last date of application i.e 22nd April 2014)

Nature of Internship: Internees will be provided an opportunity to work in different sections of the Central Library and learn the modern library management techniques and web based services. The selected candidates will have ample of opportunities to work and learn onemerging IT tools and technologies.

Selected internees will require to do shift duty on rotation basis along with other staff members.

Accommodation facilities will not be provided by the IIT Delhi.

IIT Delhi may decide the criteria for the selection of the internees which may include Written Test and /or Interview. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the selection process.

Take print-out of filled form and paste passport size latest photograph on printed form and send signed copy along with attested copies of supporting certificates/testimonials by post on following address. It is mandatory to fill-up the online application form. Incomplete applications will not be entertained. Only application filled online and received the hard copy of same is acceptable.

The last date of submission of online application is15th April 2014 and last date for receiving print-out of the same by post is22nd April 2014.
