Applications are invited for the post Senior Library Information Assistant in IIT Mandi, Kamand, Himachal Pradesh.
Post: Senior Library Information Assistant (Group B): 1 post (OBC)
Age limit: 35 years.
Qualifications:
Essential : Postgraduate degree in Library Science from a
recognized University with 02 years experience in Library/
Computerization of a Library.
Desirable : Candidates possessing (i) Higher academic
qualification and/or experience and (ii) Knowledge of Library
Automation and networking will be given preference.
Period of probation: 2 Years
The last date for submission of duly completed applications along with attested copy(ies) of certificates and application fee in the Institute will be 15.02.2018 (05.00 PM). However, hard copies of applications of the candidates who apply online till 15.02.2018 (05.00 PM) will be accepted till 22.02.2018 (05.00 PM).
Thereafter, no application will be entertained even if postal delay is there.

UGC-NET 2018 Notification
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the dates
for the conduct of next UGC-NET 2018 for Junior Research Fellowship
(JRF) & Eligibility for Assistant Professor.
As per a notification issued by the CBSE, the exam will be conducted on July 8, 2018 (Sunday).
The
upper age limit for appearing in JRF has also been raised by two years,
i.e. from the existing upper age limit of 28 years to 30 years.
However, the age relaxation will be same as it was earlier.
The candidates are required to apply online from March 6, 2018. Applications will be open for a month and the last date of applying online is April 5, 2018 and the fees can be paid on or before April 6, 2018.

We are pleased to announce the National Conference on Modern Librarianship: Opportunities and Challenges, jointly organised by the Resource Centre, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai and Bombay Science Librarians’ Association, Mumbai during June 8-9, 2018. The conference would definitely help libraries to stay in tune with rapid changes occurring due to the introduction of emerging innovations, trends and technologies and prepare themselves for excellence to serve the users.
CALL FOR PAPERS:
Papers on the theme and sub themes may be submitted for presentation at the conference. The contributors can include any other topic falling under the broad gamut of the main theme of conference. Case studies will also be accepted.
Paper Submission:
Only the accepted papers from authors who register for this conference will be included in the Conference Proceedings.
