Internship at IICA, Manesar
Library Internship
Programme at IICA Knowledge Resource Centre, Manesar.
•
The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs setup
under the aegis of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, GOI is a National repute Institute dealing with
all areas that concern Corporate Affairs in India.
•
The Knowledge Resource Centre of IICA is the backbone of the Institute and is a new age of
a multifaceted approach to managing print, digital, audio-visual material and
other material all in a seamlessly manner.
•
It plays a vital role
in knowledge capacity building and skill development at IICA.
•
It is the treasure
house of wealth of knowledge showcasing the best collection of books,
periodicals and other non book resources from all corners of the world in the specialised
field.
IICA-KRC
has started an ongoing six month Internship programme. Under the programme,
Internees will be deployed in the KRC on monthly stipend. KRC system of IICA
deploys interns under its Internships programmes with qualifications in Library
and Information Science and Computer Science to train them in library operations/ICT
applications.

The

would be called for an interview. The University
may also write to the undersigned alongwith the applications of the candidates.
Campus interviews would also be conducted for the selection of the intern. The
selected interns shall have no right for claiming regular appointment in the IICA.
They would be given certain projects to be completed at the stipulated timeframe.
The interns need to submit a project report at the end of their internship
programme. .

Advertisement for the temporary post of “Library Trainee” Number of posts: 01 (One)
Qualification : Graduate in any discipline with Bachelors or Masters Degree in Library and Information Science ( B.L.I.Sc / M.L.I.Sc) from a recognized university with first class. (Preference will be given to Science Graduate)
Experience : At least one year working experience. Knowledge of computers is essential.
Age limit : 25 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC)
Tenure : One year
Emoluments : Rs. 10,000/- p.m.
Nature of Work: The nature of work will include handling various library housekeeping processes, both, traditional and automated using SLIM21 library software, work processes at the library counter, IUCAA Institutional Repository using DSpace, Network Assisted Server - CD Mirroring Server etc.
The selected candidates will have to work in shift duties (noon to late evening), Saturdays, Sundays and holidays as per library requirement.
