(Pay scale – Rs. 15600-39100+GP 5400 as per 6th CPC or corresponding Level- 10/Pay range Rs. 56100-177500 as per 7th CPC).
Officials from Central Govt. or Autonomous Bodies or Universities who are:
(i) holding analogous post on regular basis; or
(ii) holding posts in the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800+GP 4200 as per 6th CPC or corresponding level – 6/pay range of Rs.35400-112400) of 7th CPC with five years regular service; and possessing the following qualifications:
(1) Master’s Degree with 50% marks in any Social Science from the recognized University or equivalent.
(2) Degree in Library Science or equivalent qualifications.
Desirable:
The candidates having working knowledge of automation/Lib. Software on Linux/windows would be given preference.

Application for The Post of Librarian And Assistant Librarian

Applications are invited for direct recruitment to the post
of Librarian and Assistant Librarian in Kerala Institute of Local
Administration with the following qualifications.Librarian : 1 Post
Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of Library.
- Qualifying in the National level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D degree in accordance with the ‘University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations 2009’ shall be exempted from the recruitment of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment.
Age Limit: Not more than 39 as on 01.12.2017.
Usual relaxation in the upper age limit shall be allowed in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Other Backward Classes.
Applicants who have passed their qualifying examinations from the Universities outside Kerala either through distance mode or regular stream, should furnish equivalency certificate issued by any of the Universities in Kerala at the time of verification .
Application Number received as email, on successful submission of application, can be used for future communication (if any). Manual applications are not accepted. The applicants need not submit the hard copy of the online application separately to KILA. Last date and time of submission of application is 5.00 p.m on 20.01.2018. Late and Defective applications will be summarily rejected.
The Director, KILA reserves the right to accept/reject the applications or to re-notify the post without assigning any reason.

Bachelor’s Degree with degree in Library Science. Desirable: Experience in a leading Library.
Scale of Pay: 13900-24040 (pre- revised)
