Applications are invited for the post of Deputy Librarian
Pay Band and Grade Pay: 15600-39100/- (PB-3) with Academic Grade Pay (AGP) 8000/- and
other allowances as admissible.
Essential Qualification & Experience:
Master’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% marks or
its equivalent grade and a consistently good academic record. Atleast one year specialization in the
area of information Technology/Archives and Manuscript Keeping/Database management systems.
5 years experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian in AGP of Rs. 6000/-.
Evidence of innovative Library Service and organization of published work and professional
commitment, computerization of library.
Desirable: A M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree in library science/Information science / Documentation/Archives
and manuscript-keeping/computerization of library with digital library experiences.
Maximum age limit: Not exceeding 50 years.
