Thanjavur Maharaja Serfoji's Sarasvati Mahal Library, Thanjavur, Tamilnadu association with National Mission on Libraries Kolkata  is organizing Two-days National Workshop on “Digitization and Preservation of Books, Manuscripts and Palm Leaves”  during 1st &2nd , June 2017

The workshop will be open to 30 participants only.  The Criteria for selection of participants will be based on the first come first serve.  The Participants will be provided with course materials, Kit, working lunch and certificate on successful completion of the programme.

Objectives of the Workshop
·         To familiarize the preservation and conservation techniques of manuscripts, palm leaves, paintings and rare collections.
·         To know about the various Open Source Tools and techniques for Digital preservation.
·         To familiarize the digitization process of manuscripts and rare collections.

            Library Professionals, LIS Students, Faculty Members and Research Scholars will largely get benefited from this workshop.
